We provide information to community college advisors and other counselors to assist them in advising students who intend to transfer to UCF.
Every year we host a workshop for the community college counselors and university advisors, providing updated information on UCF programs. Thank you to all who attended and presented the workshop on September 9, 2005. This year's and last year's presentations are available on the Community College Counselor Workshop page. For more information contact us at tservices@mail.ucf.edu.
At Decision Days, UCF Admissions staff provide on-the-spot admission decisions. Students pursuing an A.A. or an articulated A.S. to B.S. from a Florida public community college, who have earned at least 45 credits hours, can bring their application materials to a Decision Day, and get an immediate decision on their application. Dates are listed on the Decision Days page.
The Transfer Counseling Manual CD and the UCF catalog are virtually identical. The manual includes academic requirements for each major, minor, and certificate. All the new majors and programs are also reflected in the newest manual. The manual provides information and resources on UCF offices and other resources. There is an online version of the manual available.
UCF offers eight specialized baccalaureate degree programs for students who have graduated from a Florida community college with an A.S. in one of the following eight programs: Criminal Justice, Electrical Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Information Systems Technology, Liberal Studies, Nursing, and Radiologic Technology. The A.S. to B.S. programs page offers more information about these special degree programs.
We provide additional information on the articulated A.S. to B.S. programs as well as a presentation that provides a general overview of each of the programs.
The KnightWatch online newsletter provides the latest updates and changes to major programs and other UCF related information for community college counselors. Past editions are also available on the Knight Watch resource page.
