The Office of Transfer and Transition Services is proud to provide you with the new UCF Transfer Student Counseling manual for 2005 - 2006 on CD-ROM. The Office of Transfer and Transition Services provides information, referrals, advocacy activities, and major exploration support to enhance students' opportunities for strong academic preparation, a smooth transition to the University of Central Florida, and successful progress toward graduation. We provide these services to transfer and transitioning undergraduate students through pre-admission and transition advising; coordination of articulation agreements with community college, universities, and other school partners; and through publications and other communications for all constituents. Improved technologies allow us more flexibility and increased space to provide more information. The CD offers easy access to majors and minors as well as the ability to print a copy for your reference. In addition, we are still providing the information through our Web site, which increases in use every month. The transfer counseling manual and the UCF catalog are virtually identical. There are some changes in the manual this year, reflecting new majors and some changes in majors, programs, and new colleges. We have also added direct links to significant UCF Web sites. Using our CD-ROM version is easy: On behalf of the UCF faculty, staff, transfer students, and my staff in Transfer and Transition Services, I would like to thank you for all of your hard work and efforts for students. As always, please call one of the staff members (407-823-2231) whenever you have a question or need further information. You can also reach us by e-mail at tservices@mail.ucf.edu . Please feel free to refer your students to one of our Peer Mentors for transition advising; they can be reached by e-mail at tsmentor@mail.ucf.edu or by phone on the Student Hotline (407-823-5959). We appreciate your support of the University of Central Florida and look forward to working with you in the future. Sincerely,
