Transfer students who have a documented disability (as defined by applicable federal and state laws) may request special admission consideration when applying for admission to the University of Central Florida. Appropriate documentation is submitted to the Undergraduate Admissions Office with the application.

After admission to the university, students who have a documented disability that may require accommodations must contact Student Disability Services for an intake interview. The student will be required to provide additional copies of their disability documentation for the intake interview. All information is confidential and will be used only to assist the student.

A Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD)/Text Telephone (TTY) is available for deaf/hard-of-hearing or speech-impaired persons with TDDs/TTYs to contact Student Disability Services (TDD/TTY calls only phone 407-823-2116).

The Office of Student Disability Services provides information and individualized accommodations consistent with the student's documented disability. Such accommodations may include, but are not limited to, assistance with classroom accommodations, assistance with course registration, and information and referral to campus and community services for students with disabilities.

Accommodations are available to students whose disabilities include, but are not limited to, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, deaf and hard-of-hearing, physical disability and/or health-related impairment, psychological and/or psychiatric disability, specific learning disability (such as dyslexia), speech impairment, visual impairment, or other disabilities requiring administrative or academic accommodations. Students seeking accommodations are required to provide recent documentation from an appropriate health care provider or professional.
