Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (B.A.B.A.) at the University of Central Florida

This program will be offered only through UCF at Daytona Beach, UCF at Cocoa, UCF at Palm Bay, UCF at MetroWest, and UCF at Sanford/Lake Mary.

The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (B.A.B.A.) at the University of Central Florida will provide access to a bachelor’s degree for place bound A.A. students who wish to pursue a non-traditional business degree. This degree will replace the existing General Business Degree (B.S.B.A.) at UCF Regional Campuses. The curriculum retains the core Common Body of Knowledge courses in the existing undergraduate business programs but allows students to select any minor offered at the Regional Campus. The flexibility built into this degree program with the required minor allows students to tailor their course of study to meet the needs of either their current employment position or their career goals.

The B.A.B.A. is an individualized program of study consisting of the common program prerequisites, the business Common Body of Knowledge courses, an approved academic minor and one year of foreign language.  Students can choose any minor outside the College of Business.  The B.A.B.A. enables UCF’s undergraduate students to graduate from UCF with a specialized degree, having a business emphasis, uniquely designed by the student and his or her advisor.

Bachelor of Applied Science

The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) serves all Associate in Science (A.S.) graduates who desire a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree for career or personal advancement. The program builds upon the technical or professional skills acquired in the A.S. to develop competencies in management and communication, with emphasis on developing skills in critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. The curriculum consists of core courses in ethics, management and communication and a concentration chosen by the student.

This degree program has flexibility, allowing students to complete any needed remaining general education or foreign language courses at the community college or UCF. Students may also take internships or elective courses relevant to their professional or educational goals. UCF at Cocoa offers the B.A.S. with two tracks: Supervision and Administration, and Industrial Operations. UCF at Daytona Beach, UCF at Sanford/Lake Mary, and UCF at MetroWest offer the B.A.S. in the Supervision and Administration track.
