Did you know that Transfer and Transition Services...
Has a mission to assist students in their preparation to transfer to UCF, in their transition to the university, and through their progress toward graduation.
In 2006-2007, Transfer and Transition Services
- Assisted more than 54,685 constituents with their questions about UCF, its programs, and transfer procedures
- Had more than 118,550 visits to our award-winning Web site
- Sent 8,543 e-mails to currently enrolled transfers concerning targeted majors; more than 1,024 received transition advising
- Provided academic advising programs at Orientation for 644 undeclared and undecided transfer students
- Collaborated in presenting 42 programs and workshops at community colleges for students, counselors, and faculty
- Developed 8 articulation agreements with community colleges, universities, and secondary schools
- Distributed 1,100 transfer counseling manuals on CD; available on our Web site
- Sent monthly electronic updates to more than 425 advisors and counselors
- Peer Mentors assisted 6,882 transfer students in the office and 4,823 students at transfer orientations
- Implemented the Peer Mentor Transfer Success Workshop Series; created two new initiatives to connect transfer students to the campus community

The Office of Transfer and Transition Services provides the following services and resources:
- Accurate and current information about university programs and policies, including entrance and exit requirements, as well as information concerning:
- Transfer issues and questions
- Common program and course prerequisites
- Foreign language requirements
- Course equivalencies
- Critical academic and transfer policies
- UCF critical dates and deadlines
- General advising and referral for transfer students before and after they enroll at UCF
- Peer Mentors provide advising and transition assistance by telephone, e-mail, and office appointments
- Individual appointments to discuss transfer issues
- Advising for students who are undeclared, undecided, or changing majors
