Prior to certifying, all students that may receive VA educational benefits MUST know and follow the Veterans Service's Office (VSO) website at www.va.ucf.edu. VSO is the center for all veterans and eligible dependents that are using VA educational benefits to further their education. The office has a professional staff augmented by student veterans and veteran dependants to assist in providing information regarding entitlements, filing claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), and certifying enrollment .

The office also provides counseling for personal and academic concerns, tutorial assistance on request, and referral to various DVA and community agencies. In conjunction with the Registrar's Office personnel, evaluation of military training for transfer credit is also available.

Eligible students must be certified through Veterans Services to receive DVA educational benefits. All eligible students are urged to consult the VSO early in the UCF admissions process.

Residency Reclassification provides services to those students classified as non-resident for tuition purposes who desire to apply for reclassification. Assistance is given in the explanation of the requirements for residency for tuition purposes.

Residency reclassification applications are considered following Florida Statute 240.1201, Florida State Board of Education Administrative Code 6A-10.44, State Board of Education rule 6C-7.005 and University of Central Florida policy.

Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate Studies determine the tuition status of first term students. After the initial term, the Registrar's Office will review student applications for changes in residency. The "Residency Reclassification Application and Affidavit" form, with instructions, can be found at the Registrar's office, or downloaded from the Registrar's website at http://registrar.ucf.edu, under Residency Reclassification. Please contact the Registrar's Office at 407-823-2390 for additional information.
